Scottish Education Awards 2020 is now open for nominations

It’s that exciting time of year again when the nominations open for the Scottish Education Awards 2020.

The annual event recognises those who dedicate their lives to children and young people and showcases the valuable work and innovation in Scottish classrooms.

The Scottish Education Awards were first launched in November 2001 by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Daily Record.

We are proud to sponsor the Learning Through The Environment award. This award recognises the achievements of early learning and child care settings and schools which have raised awareness of the issues which impact on the environment.

These establishments will have made connections to the world around us, teaching children and young people about the importance of the natural environment and learning for sustainability. With the current heightened awareness about the impact of our behaviour on the health of the planet, this award has never been more relevant than today.

It’s always our pleasure to attend the awards ceremony in Glasgow in order to hand out our prize to the worthy winners.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony set to take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. Over 500 people attend the event, made up of finalists, sponsors, VIPs and ministers.

Entry to the awards is open to all publicly funded schools, including secondary, primary, ELCs and special schools.
