Scottish Education Awards

Caledonia Play are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 2010 Scottish Education Awards to be held in June this year. These Awards were launched in 2001 with the specific aims of celebrating the success and recognising the achievements taking place within Scottish Education.

Caledonia Play are specifically sponsoring the Sustainable Schools Award. This category recognises schools and pre-schools that have developed environmental awareness and sustainable development education across all the curriculum areas and the life of the school.

If you know a school or teacher who deserves recognition why not nominate?

Lantra Say We're All Good

The installation team members recently completed a two day course on chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting, but don't worry, we're not going to be cutting down any tree's. The boys sat the course in order to allow them to use the chainsaw in a safer, more enviromentally friendly way. This will allow our more bespoke products, such as our sleeper classrooms and tree decks, to be built more efficiently and further reducing the time spent on site and the effects upon the local enviroment, from tree's to their carbon footprint.

Everyone passed successfully and many thanks to Angus and Mearns; and Jim Plummer for making it possible.
